05 / Development direction
A foundation
still taking shape.
OmiLith grows through working consumers, reviewed milestones, and evidence from actual devices.
Responsive startup.
Bounded mobile composition.
The current reviewed source checkpoint includes the completed startup and mobile-composition milestone. This website is an orientation to the engine, rather than a promise of a stable public SDK release.
Recent implementation tracks.
The tracker records closed milestones for realistic water, procedural vegetation, rendering optimization, Drune presentation, and the startup/mobile-composition checkpoint. A closed track records its reviewed scope; it does not imply that every future extension of that system is complete.
Work that remains open.
The 29 October tracker snapshot still has open work for production budgets, consumer release, the Sky Pro/Lab, multiplayer optimization, distributed worlds, device and water qualification, the terrain workshop, and vegetation polish. These are development directions, not delivered-feature promises.
Start with a real consumer.
Games provide concrete needs: a different world, a larger terrain, a constrained device, or a new kind of interaction. Shared systems are extended when the behavior and ownership boundary are clear.
Review the milestone as a system.
Related tasks integrate into a milestone and receive a cumulative review. Build and static checks are useful evidence, but they do not replace visual, runtime, device, or performance acceptance. Each result retains its source revision and test conditions.
Keep optional work optional.
More elaborate rendering and tooling should remain selected capabilities rather than mandatory costs. The direction includes richer authoring and native graphics work, while preserving current application and rendering contracts.
Follow the development journal.
The dated journal on omigame.dev collects longer technical explanations and short updates from the same work. It is the narrative companion to this engine introduction; issues and milestones remain the live engineering queue.
